What's the difference between Core and Pro?
Same product, same features. The only difference is how many minutes are included and your per-minute rate beyond that. Core includes 300 minutes (~100 phone orders/month) at $149. Pro includes 800 minutes (~270 phone orders/month) at $299, with a lower overage rate. If your restaurant takes more than 10 phone orders a day, Pro is cheaper. If you take fewer, Core is cheaper.
What's the $129 setup fee for?
It covers the work to get your restaurant fully configured — your menu, hours, special instructions, SMS settings, and Square POS connection. Your AI is tuned to your restaurant before it ever takes a call. It's a one-time charge billed at signup. Your monthly subscription doesn't start until your AI is live on your phone line.
What's an AI minute?
An AI minute is any minute the AI spends on a call — answering, taking an order, or talking to a customer. We bill in 6-second increments after a 1-minute minimum, so a 30-second wrong-number call counts as 1 minute, but a 3 minute and 18 second order counts as exactly 3.3 minutes.
What happens if I go over my included minutes?
Calls keep getting answered — you're never cut off or downgraded. Extra minutes bill at your plan's overage rate ($0.30/min on Core, $0.25/min on Pro). If you're regularly going over Core's allowance, upgrading to Pro is usually cheaper than paying overage.
How do I know which plan to pick?
Most takeout places start on Core. If you take more than 10 phone orders a day on average, Pro will be cheaper. You can switch plans anytime, so it's safe to start wherever feels right and adjust as your call volume settles in.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. You can upgrade from Core to Pro (or downgrade) at any time. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
When does monthly billing start?
On your go-live date — the day your AI is configured and live on your phone line. The $129 setup fee is the only charge at signup.
What's the SMS add-on for?
The SMS add-on lets you do two things: customers can text in their orders (the AI handles them just like phone orders), and you can send automated confirmations and pickup-ready notifications. It includes the carrier registration costs that are required for business SMS in the US.
Do I need the SMS add-on?
No — most restaurants start with voice-only and add SMS later if they want it. You can add or remove the SMS add-on at any time.
What if I want to cancel?
Cancel any time — there are no annual contracts. You'll be billed for usage through your last day, and the $129 setup fee is non-refundable.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Start a free trial to test the AI on a sandbox phone line before you commit. The setup fee isn't charged until you're ready to go live.
Can I use my existing phone number?
Yes — you can either get a new dedicated number from us, or port your existing restaurant phone number to Cleverli. Porting takes 3–10 business days and we handle the paperwork.
